Creating a custom quest to add XP

    Hi there.

I'm new to these forums and am currently in the process of setting up my own private server.

What I am trying to accomplish is as follows....

    New player joins game.
On horde side they start at level 1 and level as normal.
On alliance side they can either stay level 1 nd level as normal or they can accept and immeadiately turn in a quest that gives them a load of stuff and levels them to 70.

The last bit is where I'm stuck... I can't find where to set the quest reward XP to level them to 70 and I also can't find anywhere that tells me how much total XP is required to get to 70.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

I'm using Reaper-X's Mangos Arcane Fire UR1 pack for WoW 2.4.3 with UDB.

Thanks in advnace and +Rep to anyone that gives info that helps me get this finished

I'm not much for the whole quest thing, but the total XP to 70 should be around ~9,646,700.
Oh and you can't rep people yet, your still on rep power 0.
To be able to rep people you need to be more active on the forum.

Actually you have an array where all the XP-Information is stored in the source, so you can calculate

Ok. I've found that so thankyou.

What I am trying to do is make it so that starting characters on one faction only can start at level 70 (or choose to start at level 70).

So something like a quest they can accept and turn in straight away or an item they have to start with that they can use to level them to 70.

I can make items and quests using Quice but can't figure out how to make a consumable item that gives XP when used and the RewXP field no longer exists in the quest database table so I can't find anywhere to set the quest reward XP for a given quest.

I'm using Arcane fire UR1 from reaper-Mangos as I said above for WoW 2.4.3.

The rest of it, adding items to players etc I have already set up... just this XP bit that is stumping me atm

Well, what you could do is actually changing the XP rate in your .CONF files.
Change it to a very high number, let's say 8,000,000.

I'm pretty sure you can set so all characters starts at level 70 as well, don't remember how to tho.
Hope you'll get it to work.

    Thanks for the replys

I had thought of the XP rate and starting level though. the point is I want horde characters to start at level 1 and alliance characters to have the choice of either levelling from 1 or getting levelled to 70.

If a player chooses to level to 70 they would also receive other items I'd specify so as to enable them to equip their character appropriately.

This is why I thought a custom quest would be the best way to do it since I could put the items as quest rewards etc.

Oh well... thanks for the replies anyway... I'll have to look into other potential ways of achieving what I want.
