    [Q] Custom item conflict

I'm using Ascent DB Editor on an ArcEmu server (I read that these are essentially the same so this should work -- Ascent and ArcEmu I mean).

If you don't know what Ascent DB Editor is, there is a search button :P.
But if you're helping fix my problem, then you already know that there's a search button, and it's a damn important button too.

The problem is when I create the custom item, and I restart the server then give it to the character it appears without a icon unless its on your character in an equip slot (and only here will it take it's proper icon). Another problem is that, when I try and update it, it doesn't work, even after restarting all processes related to the server.

    Any possible ideas/solutions?

Edit: I remember reading something about purging your wow-cache. But I know nothing of this, that and I'm just starting to use actual SQL DB programs like HeidiSQL -- I am new to this server thing of course.

You can't remove the red "?" from the custom items.

As for your Cache, Delete it if you're updating your server item or w/e.

There are a few guides to remove the ? marks this question has also been asking numerous times so im sure there would be somehting in the search results..

Regardless there is a guide Written by myself to remove the red question marks but it deals with Item cannibalization .

Other then that theres an addon that does it But i think its alot of work and im not sure how well it works..

Well... that's the thing, I don't know where or the cache is. Or else I would have tried deleting it.

The cache folder is in your main WoW directory. Just delete the folder titled "Cache"
As for the red "?" it is possible to get rid of it, but a lot more work then to simply deal with it.
