First and foremost, I would've posted this in a more proper forum, but it requires five posts and I didn't want to spam to get the posts.
Secondly, I did not make this video and take no credit for it, I just found it. I'm sorry if this is a repost. I was searching for 3 hours last night for a good tutorial that worked for me, and this one worked perfectly. It's VERY elaborate and easily understood.

Getting Item IDs and Item Set IDs
The easiest method is mentioned in the video guide. Go to Thottbot, look up an item, and the numbers at the very end of the URL will be the Item ID. For instance, let's get ourselves The Ashbringer. The numbers at the end of the link is the item ID.

In game you would use .additem 13262 to spawn the Ashbringer in your heroes inventory.
But that's not enough is it? You want yourself some hardcore armor. We'll assume you're a Paladin for this example. Let's get you the Lightbringer armor, the best in the game at the moment.
http://thottbot.com/?set=679
In game you would use .additemset 679 to make the Lightbringer armor set spawn in your heroes inventory.
Experiment. You can even make Rogues wear Plate Mail. If you have any questions, I'll check back on this thread to help you.
