How To Make Your Server Public On Lan

1. Download a Repack

2. Download HeidiSQL or MySQL( to modify your data base)

3. Set up your home or small ofice network with windows XP network connections wizard.

4. Put all the Pc's on the lan in the same work group and turn on file and printer
sharing.

5. Now get your Pc's IP address. (start/run/cmd) In your comand prompt type ipconfig/all or type ping and your computers name (ex. ping homePC) press enter. WRITE THE IP YOU GET DOWN!! You will need it later .

6. Now run the 7.4 repack install it to your C:/drive. This will take a few minuts.

7. Now that it is done go to C:/AC Web Ultimate Repack.

8. There are 2 map extractors if you live in the USA run the enUS if not run the enGB This will place an .exe file in your world of warcraft directory.

9. Open your world of warcraft folder C:/Program files/world of warcraft by default.

10. There is a file in there called ad its an .exe file double click it and it will start to unpack the maps this may take several minuts depending on your PC.

11. Ok now that your finished unpacking the maps there will be a file in your wow folder called maps copy this and paste it in C:/AC web ultimate repack/Ascent

12.Now in this same folder C:/AC web ultimate repack/Ascent there are 3 files that need to be modifyed.

12.1 first the ascent config file open it with note pad look for the line below replace 0.0.0.0 with the IP you got for your PC and save your changes. ( The IP I told you too write down)

12.2 Ok now open your logonserver config file and look for the line that looks like the one below. Replace th the MinBuild = "6739" and the MaxBuild = "7561"> with the following minbuild = "1" and maxbuild = "9999" and save your changes.

12.3 Ok now open your realms config file and look for the these lines. Replace the 127.0.0.1 With your PC's IP address Do not remove the :8129 on the Realm1 address just replace the 127.0.0.1 with your IP. Also you can change the realm name if you wish replace >>"AC Web Ultimate Repack" with what ever server name you wish keep the " "
now save your changes.

13. Ok now it is time to install HeidiSQL Install it where ever you wish. Before you make a new connection you need to run MySQL go to C:/AC web ultimate repack/server you will see the MySQL launcher at the bottom of the folder double click it. A window opens that looks similar to the comand prompt leave this running just minimise it. Now your ready to set the connection to HeidiSQL click new button the discription can be what ever you want the hostname/IP = localhost User=root Password = ascent Port = 3306 now click save+connect


14. Now that HeidiSQL is open look for the logon data base on the left and double click it now double click on accounts now look for the tab on top that says data and click on it. Here is where you add all your friends login info. To make them a GM put az in the GM collum If you want to play the burning crusade expantion make sure to put 8 in the flags collum. when finshed hit the refresh button 1 time make sure your changes stay and then you can close heidiSQL.


15. Last but not least Make sure to change your realmslist.wtf file in your wow directory to
set realmlist 0.0.0.0 Replace the 0.0.0.0 with the IP i told you to write down. save your changes.

16. Ok now time to start playing woooot !! Go to C:/AC Web Ultimate Repack double click on the control pannel this opens a new window click on launch server. This will open 4 comand prompt looking windows LEAVE them all running u can minimise them if you want to but do not close. Now run world of warcraft make a toon and play. If the control pannel dose not want to work for you then you can launch all 4 manualy your apachie and MySQL are in C:/AC-web Ultimate Repack/server the logonserver and ascent launcher are in C:/AC-web Ultimate Repack/ascent

Set your realmlist to the hosts lan ip...
eg: set realmlist 192.168.x.x

I tried it my way yesterday and worked fine.
