    [Guide] Stability Issues (And Possible Fixes)

    Yesterday, after a LONG argument with an admin, my staff decided to fire him and take his admin away. He got very mad saying he was framed. but, as a know fact, we had proof that he was wrong and was lying. I took all his account info away and banned him from everything. Little did i know that I forgot one little thing in his account info. A long time ago, He said he would delete something if i removed his admin. And I had totally forgot about that yesterday. So anyway, we were happy without our retarded admin who lies for about two hours. The server was still in beta. And about 15 minutes after I got off from our Ventrilo Voicechat server and went to bed, He went onto the database (I forgot to delete his account stupid me) and deleted the world all together. The server was up at the time of the database deletion and well, IT DID NOT CRASH ALL DAY AND ALL NIGHT! It was up for 7 hours after he deleted the database. Which made me come to the conclusion: The "World" Program is stable. Its the database that's not stable. So, all of those custom items you made for your gms, all of those countless recall ports. That's whats making your server crash. Not a high amount of users, not random spell spamming. Its the database in most cases!!!

    My Server usually crashes every 1-2 hours because its a gm server roflcoptors

    I dont use a repack.

    I compiled it myself with the arcemu svn

    Your right on one account: it is the database that causes 99% of problems with ArcEmu servers. If you make a custom world (like I am) using only content you built yourself, you will find that it practically never crashes. Mangos has UDB which is amazing, I believe there was a converter for UDB -> ArcEmu, but I don't think it was ever finished.

    I wasnt saying you were.. But your title says "Stability Issues (And Possible Fixes)".

    So my advice is DONT USE A REPACK to avoid stability issues.

    Also if you spawn 9 billion gameobjects gathered in less than 1by1 yard then it attends to crash on the map table :P too much for it to handle :P

    rofl... i have personally experienced this a few times as I did have a Gamemaster server...
    I have to delete tons of gameobject spawns :P
