[Hint for beginners] How to equip weapons to NPC's

Alright.. 3 of my friends have asked me already so i'll make a thread.
Most people do this through the Database but it is also possible through commands!

1. Target your npc
2. do this command: .mod bytes1 2
3. Now equip your NPC by doing: .npc equip1 <YOUR ITEM ID HERE>

So if i were to equip my NPC with a worn shortsword I would do this:
.mod bytes1 2
.npc equip1 25


Equip1 = Main hand
Equip2 = Off-Hand/Shield
Equip3 = I think bows.. not sure.

Unfortunately, you may be forgetting something. Sometimes, the command doesn't exist. It occasionally happens. Sometimes, TrinityCore2, MaNGOS, ArcEmu, Aspire, all that stuff, the whole ".npc equip1" command doesn't even exist, which really sucks. I miss the time where you could attach a weapon ID to some sort of NPC, and then spawn it as much as you want, and it would always have that thing on it. But on track, that command isn't seen much these days. Just thought I'd let you know.

I used to do it by editing the DB but when i found out it works with commands just fine then i just started using macros and it was like 3 times faster.
