For all of you whom enjoy VOIP (Voice Over Internet), and use voange, you may have noticed that hosting public World of Warcraft Servers dosn't seem to work for you. Well i've had this very problem, after resolving the issue I will now help all of you out
Here is how Voange wants you to set up your device:
The actual way to set up the device is a bit different. The way it is set up in the above picture 1) limits the ports u can open, 2) degrades the phones sound quality due to the rotuer, and 3) is lame.
The Correct way to set up the vonage device to enable port fowarding is as follows:
Internet ---> Cable/DSL Modem ---> Router ---> VonageDevice/Computers/Printers/etc
If you do not have your device set up this way, do the following.
1) Power down your Cable/DSL Modem
2) Power down your Vonage device
3) Power down your Router device
4) Plug the Cable/DSL modem into the Router
5) Plug in the Blue box cord from the Vonage Device to the Router
6) Be sure there is nothing Pluged into the Yellow Box on the Vonage Device.
7) Power up your Cable/DSL Modem (Be sure all lights are lit)
Power up your Vonage device (Wait for the ERROR 001 Message)
9) Power up your Router device ( Enjoy)
This guide is used to enable the hosting of public servers. It works, because ive tried it and use itEnjoy!
