Well, being new to the whole "having your own private server" concept I've come to the realization that in some (a lot in my case) cases, you need to have a Display ID for various commands and creating custom items, etc, etc.
Well, typically searching new things and trying to learn what the !#^& I'm doing I found some miscellaneous programs, executables, model viewers, and some other stuff that claimed to have every item, every vendor, every npc, etc... it's item number and it's display ID number as well.
Nine times out of ten I found out that their claims were false. So I found my own way, even if it's not a program. I use my internet browser's "view source" option to find any display ID I need.
1. Go to Wowhead: Make it your new racial passive today!
2. Look up your item. (We'll use "Warglaive of Azzinoth") for this example.

3. In the browser tabs at the top (I use Firefox, btw), click "View".
4. Then select "Page Source". (Alternately: Press Ctrl+U)
5. When the Page Source is open, press Ctrl+F. (This finds something specific)
6. Type in "DisplayID" (No Spaces)
It will then route you to the Display ID number for that particular item. In this case, it is "45479".

I hope this helps any newcomer out there. It has certainly helped me. And btw, I do realize there are programs out there like "Ascent Database Editor" that can automatically input the Display ID number but if you're like me, I'd rather learn the SQL and do it myself then to rely on some program, because as pointed out in this thread, programs tend to fail more times than not.
