    Going Public, quick and easy

SORRY IF THIS A RE-POST, But I looked and looked, and found out through trial and error (besides, Im taking Kuiren's advice lol his guide on how to no longer be a leecher, and this is ALL I know about.)

    1) Get DYDNS hosting
    2) Set up Host name with DNS
    3) Port forward
    4) System32 Host file
    5) Repack configs

    1)Get DYDNS
    1.1) Go to DyDNS.com
    1.2) Go to "services"
    1.3) Go to "DNS Hosting"
1.4) (top right) Add DNS Hosting
1.5) Sign in and click services
    1.6) Click "DNS Services"
    1.7) Then "Dynamic DNS"

    2) Set Up Host Name with DNS
2.1) Fill out "host name" (That will be your realm name)
    2.2) Click "wild card"
    2.3) click "auto IP"
    2.4) Click "OK"
COPY YOUR HOST NAME FOR FUTURE USE!!!!!

    3) Port Forward
3.1) Go to Start, run and type in "command"
3.2) In the box that appears, type in ipconfig
3.3) Type in the Ip into your browser bar
3.4) That should bring up your router
    3.5) Passwords are usually admin/admin or admin/admin1
    3.6) Add anything to "application"
3.7) Add 80 (80-81 in dual realm) to both "start" and "end"
    3. Make sure the "protocol" is set to both
    3.9) Save and exit

    4) System32 Host file
    4.1) Go to "C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\Etc
4.2) Open host file with notepad
4.3) At the bottom, you will see "127.0.0.1 (or the like)
4.4) Make it read 127.0.0.1 (paste in your host name that you copied)

    5) Repack Configs
5.1) Go to your repack and locate your "config" files (realm, world & logon)
5.2) In your "logon.config" make the "logon database" read:
<LogonDatabase Hostname = (paste your host name here)
    5.3) save and exit
5.4) In your "world.config" file make the "worldDatabase Hostname" read:
<WorldDatabase Hostname = (paste in your host name that you copied)
    5.5) Save and exit
5.6) In your "realm.config" file make the "LogonServer Address" read:
<logonserver address = (paste in your host name, again)
5.7) Then in the "realm section" make the realm "address" read:
Address = (paste in your host name) :8129
DONT FORGET TO LEAVE THE :8129 in ^^^
    5. Save and Exit

    Thats it, your done!!!!!!

I would Like to Thank all those at MMOwned who took the time to help me in these past few days, especially Kuiren, Sounded and Syan, who took the extra time to help me. Thank you all for responding to my PM's.

    Gratefully,
    The Biggest Noob of ALL

Great try buddy but i see that you don't understand the WorldDatabase Hostname or <LogonDatabase Hostname ... These are what you see if you right click the database and click connection properties in your Navicat or whatever you use to manage your databases. They are always, as what i have ever seen them, "Localhost" or "127.0.0.1" Which is also localhost.

The rest is correct i think..
    Best of luck to you!

the only thing that you need to change in your conf files is the realm at the end change the realm id to your dyndns and you will be fine. no need to change the logon or your world conf files
