Setting up My repack ( The Sunwell )

So guys i was asked if i would make a guide on how to set up my repack its very easy but here s a quick guide i will made

so first u need my repack

Now it`s time for the config files
open ascent-logonserver.conf and then find

<LogonDatabase Hostname = "localhost"
Username = "root"
Password = "<PASS>"
Name = "world"
Port = "3306"
Type = "1">

and then change <PASS> to your Mysql Password. Save that then open ascent-world.conf and find

Quote: <WorldDatabase Hostname = "localhost" Username = "root" Password = "<PASS>" Name = "world" Port = "3306" Type = "1">
<CharacterDatabase Hostname = "localhost" Username = "root" Password = "<PASS>" Name = "world" Port = "3306" Type = "1">

and then change <PASS> to your Mysql Password. Save it then openascent-realms.conf and find

<Realm1 Name = "Test Realm"
Address = "127.0.0.1:8129"
Icon = "Normal"
Colour = "1"
Population = "1.0"
TimeZone = "1">

Now if u are gona make all new first time u need Navicat
Open up navicat and go to File and click New Connection. A window should pop up. Change the password to your mysql password. Now click ok.

2nd
On the left under Connection, double click on localhost. Right click on it, and go to New Database, Set the name to "world", make sure you do this.

3rd
Now right click on "chrispee the sunwell db" and go to Execute Batch File. Now press the button with "..." In it, and go to your server directory. Once there, click open Sql, then click on Ascent.sql, let it finish, then once its done. Close Navicat.

then u need to get up mysql

Now Go to your world of warcraft directory and open Realmlist.WTF. Change it to

set realmlist 127.0.0.1

And log in admin admin

With all due respect, instead of Ascent.sql don't you mean Chrispee The Sunwell DB.sql? I found no Ascent.sql file in the repack. =)

After using your tutorial, my the default admin account was able to connect, but not to a realm. What I mean is that it shows no realms on the realmlist, and of course I set up the realm like you said to in the tutorial.

Any idea what is wrong with it?

Works perfectly, tho is it possible to do so the vedors sell stuff on the new area aswell as having them controle everything.

there is a issue all npcs there seem to have been placed two times ontop of each other.

lol whoops fixed first prob but now i got a problem when i start logonserver and world it goes till the end till it says authenticating then it says authenticating failed (this isnt in the game yet)

Go make sure that the remote password is the same in the files.

You have already said what might be the problem.
Just go make sure the remote password is the same and that you have set the ip in the repack aswell as the relm list in wow folder
