How to make a 2.4.1 private server!

Hello guys,

This is finally my 5th post and i can finally post alot more stuff

So i will show you STEP by STEP on how to make a private server very easy

Step:[1]: Download THIS Your]Your File Host Upload Files - TurboUpload File Host Upload Files - TurboUpload to your desktop

Step:[2]: Once it is on your desktop, right click the file you downloaded and Select "Extract files here..." And you should get the repack

Step:[3]: Now that the repack is on your desktop, Go to "My Computer" and then select "Local Disk :/C" or something like that lol and drag the repack to your Local Disk

Step:[4]: Now... open your repack and find "Open MYSQL"

Step:[5]: Hit "Ascent-logonserver" (left click it) and minimize it (for space )

Step:[6]: Left-click "Ascent-world" and wait about 2 minutes or so

Step:[7]: Go into your World of Warcraft files wich by default is "C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft" Find "Realmlist.wtf" and double-click it, it will say could not open it or whatever, Select "Open with..." and select "Notepad" or "Wordpad" and Rename...

Set realmlist us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com
to...
Set realmlist 127.0.0.1
then in the top left hand corner is file ... click it and hit save
Now were almost done!!

Step:[8]: Open World of Warcraft and login with this...

Account Name: admin
Password: Admin

This repack has already Configured the stuff needed to run the server ... but if you want to change the realm name...

(Optional) Step:[8]: Open "Ascent-realms" and scroll down to where you see...

<Realm1 Name = "Aeirs Repack 1.6.0"
Address = "127.0.0.1:8129"
Icon = "PVP"
Colour = "1"
Population = "1.0"
TimeZone = "1">
Change Aeirs Repack 1.6.0 ... to whatever you want ur realm name to be

Hehe sorry ... Still newb ... But how was the guide good or bad?

Just followed this guide. Server is running. Everything looks correct. When a client logs in using any account in the database, the client is kicked upon selecting the realm name.

I have tried several guides over the past several days. I'm really beginning to think it is a matter of luck to get this working using Mangos or Ascent.

Hehe ... It's Ascent ... and i understand what your saying man ... it took me a while to make my own server, what i did was read over the guides constantly ... and Herleybob's guides were excellent and hes the reason im making servers today XD

I get this when opening "open mysql" so i went to check if the file was in the english folder and it is ... im confused

Dowload it again and do nothing else but follow my steps ... i followed this guide myself to test it out to see if it will help you ... it works for me .... just re download it and follow steps .. good luck : )

I can login, but I can't get into the realm. Each time I select it and try to connect it just brings me back to the realmlist.

It's .createaccount THEN (Ex.) test1 test1 @test.com
