Ok i have downloaded this and when i try to log in with admin/admin it says the info is not right.I tried making another account and same thing.Any help here?

Problem I'm having is the lack of everything I need. Tried to start it up and got errors saying I needed maps, so I got those, and again got an error for missing vmaps. Now I feel set and now I'm missing DBC files and crashed. Not sure about anyone else, but I had to keep editing/changing directories. Got an error saying it could not find the Mysql folder from server/mysql, but that's because the folder the download came with was called something along Redcastle, not server. So I renamed the folder then the error went away, but a new problem came up saying missing redcastle/<foldernamehere>, so I had to go to config files and change 'redcastle' into 'server'. Now, where should I get my DBC files?

Im at the same point were you are. If i havnt known how i should get the maps,vmaps and make my own dbc, i would never gotten this far. Sql start up with errors. Auth could not attach to 127.0.0.1. It can work, but for new people, this would be to hard getting this to run. Atleast there should be some tools with this repack, and maybe the DBC. Somewere on the release page, there should be posted some tools so you can make you own DBC,MAPS and Vmaps.

Anyways, got this up and running no problem after updating my computer. I did run into many glitches as soon as I started this up though. Can't open the mailbox, could not spec, could not attack targets, all targets have unknown name. Also .die said to select a creature or player even though I was targeting a wolf. Someone else should definitely give this a go, it may have been just me. Feels like lag except that I can talk.

What do you mean patched? WoW client patches? If so, I'm on version 4.0.6. Unless you mean a brand new kind of patching system for private servers, then I'm lost. I haven't ran a private server since like... 7 months ago.

Skyfire requires you to patch your wow exe in order to do things like equip items and crap like that. Skyfire Wiki guide Just scroll to the bottom of the page and it will tell you how to patch, granted the op included the compiled patcher in the repack...

Go here and download this file. Its a must have to run all theese cata emus. After you download it, put it inside your wow install folder. Run the .exe file. This file has the name SkyFirePatcher, but inside its the same. What it does is it will make a backup of your wow.exe file, and make a new wow.exe file. Thats the one you should run. Simply run SkyFirePatcher.exe and patch. run wow.exe.
After playing you can run it again. and unpatch. Here is the link to the download for the file you need.

how you got it running I keep getting errors with the server folder for mysql... fixed it and now when I start worldserver.exe it just closes nothing happen...

Yeah, this server is actually nice after patching my WoW. Good job XDoombladeX. And Jencryzthers, I was having many problems with mine, too. But I went to computer updates and saw I had 5 recommended updates, I did that and it all started up flawlessly.
