I can't get this to work, I'm trying to play using hamachi with my friend but he can't connect, it gets to join server then it says logging into realm or whatever and just goes back to the realmlist. dunno how to fix it

Have you tried changing the following?

*BindIP = "0.0.0.0"*
In authserver.conf
Also make sure you run it in C:// and you have the reccomended ports opend?

Holy crap, sorry for complaining so much, but man. the config files aren't sorted out at all. It's a mess trying to read them. Dx

My final opinion is:

Thanks a lot. I appreciate the time and effort put in, but instead of being happy to find a 4.0+ server, I just seem to be annoyed.

The commands are terrible, finding how to remove my auras was one of the largest pains I have ever had on a private server.
Adding items is next to impossible. Especially using your GUI. It gives errors after you try to create one. (The tables do not match up with what it is trying to inject.)
Even manually entering items seems to be a pain.
The tele commands are crazy. Try teleporting to org and have fun. Try removing where it is sending you when you type .tele orgrimmar, and it will tell you it doesnt exist.
That kind of stuff.
Emerald dream wasnt even included in your database. I had to add it myself.

There's a lot more, but man, I don't even want to type out a list.

I really appreciate the repack, but I can't help but feel like so much more could be done with this.

I think if you uploaded this crap to a different host, and I downloaded it from that new host, it would move faster than this Wupload crap.

Open them with notepadd++ or wordpad. edit them and re-save them, then re-open the login files should sort it for you.

I should have known that. I appreciate the tip. As for the rest of my complains, I know I wrote that quite critically, and I definitely didn't mean for it to sound so harsh.

I'm just using skyfiredb/core it's very buggy. until mangos/udb start developing for 4.1, also don't forget script2dev your not gonna get anything better then this.

I just packed skyfiredb/core with a website/nginx/mysql I have not done any edits.

I figured your problem out. What you want to do.. is open up your Auth server notepad doc and change the log in server to be the one your hamachi ip says...

Then go into my sql, and connect to your server. From there, you want to allow your hamachi ip to connect by going into the "mysql" database, then go into user

From there, you just set up your hamachi ip, and fill in the rest to match the other ones listed.

After that, change your realmlist to match your hamachi ip and everything should work.

I havent been able to test it for having a friend connect to my hamachi and log on. But it works for me.

Duplicate the entire entry.
Now you have 2 rows that are exactly the same.
On the second row, change the "address" column to your hamachi IP and change the name to "PUBLIC" or something. (Just not the exact same name as the localhost realm)

I actually forgot to mention doing that as well. I was in a rush to get out of my house. I had originally done that, but the server was still denying access. I had to grant that IP privileges to connect.
