Norwegian Elite Repack 6.5 (3.3.5a) - The Unexpected Comeback

Alright, so I have Navicat and currently using AlterWoW core. So I've backed up EVERYTHING (took awhile...) as an SQL file just in case I FUBAR everything. (I probably will as I have virtually no clue what I'm doing.)

Alright....so. Finally I figured out that .txt on navicat = CVS so I've backed all that up too...alright making progress...now I'm crossing my fingers that your DB and the old one are compatible and I wont have to edit everything D:

Alright so fast forward to now (25 mins at least later) and I realize...I have no idea how to swap to your DB. The only way I know how to do anything is by dumping or executing SQL files O_O

I can swap the configs around and make those work...but my tables are all the same how do I update the tables xD? It's been....5 years since I've bothered with EMU stuff D: I'm such a newbie again

if your current server is a repack, then its actually easy,
just go inside your server map/server/mysql/data
inside there, is the database source itself that mysql uses.

then go in same dir in my repack and simply copy my world folder (called ne60-335) and paste it in your data dir
and voila, my database is in your repack.

Then you need to copy my arcemu core and so on to your repack (specially the lua scripts is important)

you cannot use other repacks wow core unless they are modified to accept high numbered item id,s
or all my custom items stops working.

you can ofc also configure your wow to run both your and mine at same time, as 2 realms,
then you dont have to modify any, simply starting my server as realm 2.
but that requires some small configs to work, im sure its some guides here at mmowned for multiple realms

Alright. So I have some random new NPC's from a mall...however I really don't think it's related to anything I did today -- It's probably just always been there and I never noticed. my SQL tables still aren't updated after dropping the new ne63335 folder into my mySQL database

I love it! Remember me in old days i was playing on that server of you'r Knaur. Well you'r Team

Just one thing.. I know this is just remade for 3.3.5 and it's some buggs still and so on..
But i'v seen no bugs report here on this theard maybe there should not be, But the custom items, like a weapon. i can use it but i can like to "Heroic Strike" With my warrior with them.. it says " Melee is req " :P
Is it something that can be fixed ? :P cus on my trinity Repack ( That i'm working with ) it says the same

we have the repack online at our developer site,
where we works at bugs, many of the spells was ****ed up after
blizzard changed it in the 3.3.x series, so i guess its mostly same in both
arcemu and trinity/mangos.

But we have bug report sections in our forums.
we also work on another database project here, NE7 for future release
This will be a complete new database, made from empty world,
no blizzlike at all, everything custom made, with leveling
from 55-80, and everything will be lua scripted, even trash

Derp, dont just copy the folder, go in the folder and copy the files in it to your world database folder

2dgreen: he wants to merge hes own world with my hehe.

Ghosthopper: to do that you have to merge the sqls with tools like CSV exporter.
it will then add the parts from my db that you miss, and auto skip the parts you already have
ofcourse only if your structure matches mine, i have given you guides
both for making CSV and how to easy match my structure with easy edits hehe

when you copy the NE60-335 into your data folder, it wount merge with you world,
it becomes a own database in your mysql, next to the world.

If you then follow the guide i made here:
then it should work fine, but remember, for first time try,
it may be tricky, but its not so hard after trying few times

So apparently my SQL according too three people is just FUBAR. One of them {terrorblade} got it to work like a boss. I extracted all of the SQL i wanted and implemented it because for what ever reason my SQL will not do x2 databases no matter what I try. Anywho...

Sweet nice release Knaur , been a while sincei posted on these forums so feel special lol just playing. Like your creative ideas seems like you and your team put in allot of work if i still played world of warcraft i would totally try it out
