Kobold was the best emulator a while ago.... it went underground and now it is coming back fast...

This is going to take time for the newschoolers to get used to without gm command guides, repacks, compiling, or information on how to get the server up and running.

as you are an expert too... don't you agree that it is time that kobold is popular again? it deserves it if you ask me... It is a dam good emu
And as you say 3.0.x could bring changes in the popularity

The time when half of the private servers were running on kobold looks not long ago, back in those days ascent had a other name and was crap

Have aspire fixed most of the achievements already or implemented vehicle combat system or any other new features? If not, then probably mangos is.

As a server owner (2 years) and a WoW player since the beta, I can honestly say that in my opinion Kobold represents the future of private servers. Props to the Kobold developers.
