I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but can somebody help me make my mangos server public. I have try to make it public but when i launch Logonserver and MaNGOS it say's: "Could not connect to MySQL database at 88.148.146.***: Host '**********' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server

Cannot connect to world database 88.148.146.***;3306;root;acent;mangos"

To make a server public you need to first set up your router to accept the incoming trafficsometimes it's easyiest to set it to DMZ mode, different one each router check your brand
Next
once you have router set up or if you dont have any type of router it's easy, set up exceptions in the firewall for port 80 and port 8085 thats your website and world server

go into the database and set up a ip address in realmd : realmlist table you will see a spot that says address, change this to your IP address

Thats the easyest wat to make a private realm, leave all the db stuff pointing to 127.0.0.1 the only thing you need to do is get the login server listening to the ip and not local host.

im useing this release havent changed anything and i need help on how to apply the FDB-patchs as in what todo and how to do it
Do i apply the patch's to mangos any sugestions or guids or privet msg would help anything to get me uptodate with FDB i need to apply patchs

@slameys - you are confused you dont need any patches at all. the wotlk patch goes on the core before its compiled and the fdb scripts patch goes on the scriptdev2 folder, again before its compiled. you cannot add these patches to this release cause it has already been done

@all - there was one more update to this repack so it supports both WoW 3.0.3 & WotLK 3.0.3. heres the changes...

It worked perfectly until I tried to logg in. It shows me only the realm list and I can't go any further. Any suggestions?

well it works for me (with alot of errors in mangos.exe ) I created a dk almoust all npc's are spawned in Ebon Hold ... the quest actualy work well in the second quest these is a litle bug where u have to loot a batle worn sword ...it says Fizzled and u can't move

Allright this might be what im looking for,
I am wondering would it be possible to just upgrade mangos, scriptdev2,acid, and auctionbot

without changeing the db ?
i mean on to a existing installation
