Hello i want to share this i found on sythe.org, maybe it can be used, who knows its vb6.0 :P
The title sais it, the most advanced VB6 emulator to this date, 'vWoW' was released (Source and database). Alittle bit about vWoW:
- It is a multi-threaded emulator, with ADO to connect and operate it's database. It has a complete Cell system, so that the 1+ gigabyte you load into your memory on server load will not burn your computer. It has a DBC reader, and a Map reader (ahm, with the cell system). It has a easily-understabale , self-explenatory configuration file, Anti-connection-flood system that'll help you set yourself up for the go.
By far, it has alot of cool functions, but sadly, it is still not complete.
To this date, it supports:
- Support of the Latest World of Warcraft version.
- Login sequences, Character creation, Entering world.
- Items (with item display), equipable and auto-equipable items, items affect character's stats.
- Character: full item display, you can see other characters, character can morph into the different forms (druid).
- Chat: a unique anti-flood system, SYSTEM message, Global server message, notification messages, joining channel, creating channel, leaving channel, whispering, yelling, emoting, voice emotes.
- Spells: a huge variety of spells and 100% of auras work. Spells affect character's stats, and apply certain visual changes (as some spells do, like travel form).
- Gossiping: Quests: talking to NPCs fully works.
- GM commands: Alot of cool commands to toy with: modify money, speed, size, kick players, teleport, reserruct and kill players.
- Mounts: All mounts work, flying mounts, slower mounts, faster mounts.
- Trade, Guilds, Parties - all work.
- Death: corpse, revive.
- The entire world is spawned: Gameobjects, Creatures, NPCs.. everything.
In addition to this, you get a WoW-Fake client tool, which emulates the login sequence of many clients at a time.
You get NCDB to VWOW db parsers, as-well as the already-parsed .SQL files. Everything is premade for you to go.
All of this, is tested to work, and is now given to you. Finally, a chance for VB6 coders to show what they can do! Pick up the easily-understandable and keep developing it!
