Wow. As someone who recently just started looking into the scene of emulation/repacks, this post and your other repack collection posts are a godsend. You wouldn't believe how many times I've come across leads for such projects, only to end at deleted posts/dead links. Thanks!

A few questions though. Are the repacks you linked up to date before their disappearance? Or are they just copies/backups at different times when they were still available? Also, I assume the more recent content expansion repacks such as Warlords of Draenor(WOD), Battle for Azeroth(BFA), Shadowlands (SL), Dragonflight Repacks are moreso focused on those specific content releases, rather than all content up to that expansion? Seems like it would be a ton of work to offer all that content up to and including said expansions.

Hello, glad you appreciate it. Even I can't answer your question. It's a collection which I build up over time. I grabbed them from various links from various emulation forums , it's possible that some of the original are still around. Anything post MOP has a lot of bugs, they don't even have the current content implented fully, not to mention the legacy old content. Anything post MOP is god send it is what it is, I'm grateful to have any working emulator at all downloaded from some obscure russian website with few users before the entire site went down or as is the case with DF repack I backed it up from discord just before they updated to TWW.

No matter what I've tried I still get "disconnected from server". I tried a couple different repacks you posted. I made the accounts in the world server using "bnetaccount create [email protected] name" and it said "account created". I changed the realmlist to 127.0.0.1. I've used various repacks in the past, including the SPP and Retailcore, and I've messed with mySQL a bit. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I tried the patched exe and the original WoW client exe I had. Not sure what I'm missing - I'd like to play Cata! It's not the same going back in the SPP version of Legion.

Hello.Yes it's different from Legion. You should not use bnetaccount. it's .account create just account without the bnet. Everything vanilla through MOP uses normal account. Bnetaccount is used post mop since wod. You mentioned changing the realmlist to 127.0.0.1 But I hope you did it in realmlist.wtf NOT Config.wtf as this setting gets overwritten by realmlist.wtf. Realmlist.wtf was removed in WOD. Also normal accounts as I refer to them use username not email to log into the game

I have tested all the Cataclysm repacks, and only "Preservation Project" and "Olympus Core" seem to work correctly. The problem is that neither of them specifies the username and password to access the database with HeidiSQL.

Does anyone have an idea of what it could be? (I have tried all possible combinations with "root" and "admin").

Hello. The data which is used to login in the database is written in bnetserver.conf and worldserver.conf. There is a setting called logindatabaseinfo or something like this which bnetserver.exe or authserver.exe in some versions and worldserver.exe use to log in to the database

I tested most of the repacks on a level can connect to a server and make a char. IDK which has less bugs which has more you find that yourself.
If you want Cata and Mop with bots there are VIP/PREMIUM packs but on a different website. You search it up cause IDK if mentioning it will be considered advertising it and getting me banned here or sth.

Hello, Was wondering if I need to do something to turn on the Darkmnoon fair? I noticed it and a few other things are not even on the calendar. Re: the fair the area in elwynn, nor mages in towns were there. Most of the big holidays are there, but was curious if I need to do something to turn on events or something.

Tried several packages most seem to have same issue.

One possibility is to google cata darkmoon fair event date then modify the calendar of your pc to trick the server:
The other is to open the world db and find world events and modify the date, i vaguely remember seing it somewhere if memory servers me right,
havent touched any cata repack in a long time, now i use tww

edit: this is from the aquayoup wod repack which i have on one of my pcs . In cata it might look different or have different name
