Yea, I was using this on nostalrius WoW to impersonate a GM and the guy I was talking to was freaking out, I was telling him he would be banned and he probably had a heart attack irl.

It is impersonation of a Game Master, and on a lot of servers that is a bannable offense.
But I doubt you will get banned if you only use it to whisper and talk in general chat.

This is just a server configuration issue.
Set ChatStrictLinkChecking.Severity to 3 and ChatStrictLinkChecking.Kick to 1 in world server configuration file.
