Custom Classes? Wha??

I was looking at a private server (Free-WoW, I think thats what it was called) and they said they were making custom classes, with spells and all. Is that possible? Can I make my own class and choose what abilities and what armor they can wear?

well someones made custom races, but they dont go in the charecter tihng propley (the females of each race is another race), so i would think it's possible, i would like to find out how to do it though, try digging around, if you find out how post it here, so both of us know

Okay for this you need to edit this in your (Drive):\World of Warcraft\Data\(enGB or enUS)\patch. This means that you need to fix it in your servers DB folder and then get all your players to download your custom patch! Alot of hard work, but it is possible!

Or, they may just do .learn to players using already made spells and add on to your original class (some call that a "custom class")... Like creating a spell trainer isn't at all that hard. It would probably be over powered if not done right. You can also take the C++ approach and script it so they can switch back from their original class to their "Custom Class', as that is being worked on right now on the ascent forums.

Nah, it's very possible, i've known a couple of people who've done it, no client editing required, and no .learn each spell and stuff.
