[GUIDE] Connecting others to your DB{PICS}

This Guide will show you everything that YOU need to do in order for YOUR friends to connect yo YOUR db and update it.
I suggest you only did this with people you trust.

STEP 1
Open up navicat and click on your db.

STEP 2
Now click on Manage Users and a window should pop up with the current users.

STEP 3
Now click on add user. *You will need your friend who wants to connect at this point. He must go to Find My IP Address - Lookup and copy the ip listed on the page and give it to you in one way or another* Fill in the boxes as shown on the picture click ok. Password can be anything they want.




STEP 4
Their account should be highlited and you should now click on select all and save. MAKE SURE YOU DO THIS OTHERWISE THEY CANT DO ANYTHING.


STEP 5
Now have them open up navicat and make a new connection. Tell them to fill in the boxes as shown in the picture and use the account name and password you made for them.


*TIP*
If you have done everything correctly they should now be able to connect and edit your db.
I suggest that they use ADE because it is very usefeull. If they do they still must fill in the boxes the same way on ADE.
