I am having an odd issue that I am hoping maybe someone else has seen. After the logon server has been running for a while users will often authenticate and then get stuck at the "Connected" screen for quite a while. It can take up to an hour before it lets them in. Restarting the logon server will often fix the problem. I heard a rumor that it is some quirk that is unique to Ascent compiled on Linux. I've combated it by throwing up a cron job that just restarts the logon server every 30mins and my next step was to dig through source code to look for anything that could be causing it but just hoping maybe someone here has seen this issue.

P.S.
This issue has spanned multiple flavors and versions of Linux as well as revisions of Ascent from 2800 through the most recent trunk and stable.

Just make them press Cancel and choose the realm again.
Sometime you have to choose it 3+ times

I get this problem at, really bad comps! for exmaple I got this problem when I runned a server atmy laptop frrom 2003 with windowns 2000 without xp! this can be your comp thats not good enough... I don get it my new comp^^ the new1 is much faster.

It's not the computer. It's a quad core dedicated server with 2gigs of ram.

You messed up something in realms.conf

Nope. ascent-realms.conf is as it shoudl be. As I said it works fine for a while.. then it will just suddenly start acting up almost as if the port connection is timing out. Sometimes escaping back and re-authenticating a few times will correct it and sometimes it won't. Sometimes i've had a cache-delete correct it and sometimes that has no effect. Very odd issue. It never happens right after a logonserver restart though so it definitely seems to be time based.
