Question re: Ascent

I'm currently running a private server for my own personal use, and I just set the server up a few days ago so I am very new to all of this. But I have noticed a few things and wanted to get some feedback. Yes, I realize that my questions will probably sound stupid, but I have to start somewhere.

First, I always login as an admin, but when I take a character around I notice that no NPCs ever cast spells at me. They always run up and try to hit me. This is including mobs that normall stand at a distance and cast and including all bosses.

Second, I am interested in seeing some of the battles that were intended to be raid fights as a single individual. But the boss raid encounters are very different from what I have seen in the game. All of the raid bosses run up and just melee attack--there are no phases, no dialogue. For instance, when I get up to Nefarion in BWL he isn't sitting on his throne--he is already in dragon form standing there waiting for me.

Any insight and suggestions would be appreciated.

You need to script the events in LUA or C++.

The mobs will just melee if you don't.

some mobs have spells but like it was said you will need to LUA them for them to cast most spells
