Has Blizzard Actually Taken Action Against Any Server?

Hey I was wondering if anyone's server has ever been targeted by the feds/blizzard. I've hosted a server off my machine for friends multiple times and always though of going public, but what are the legal risks? Is there some way that owners protect themselves? It looks like Blizzard doesn't pay too much attention to Private Server's because some are pretty big and have been around for a long long time.

Blizzard doesn't care about them...

Combining EVERY person on a private server to live, it is like.. 1/30 amount of players if not less

Edit: And blizz would go after the EMU, not the servers. By striking the major emu, it would be destroying servers who used it.

I can't imagine them actually coming down hard on any private server. I mean, unless there was 1 MAJOR private server that rose above the rest, then I could imagine them targeting that one, but with all the free programs/repacks out there, simply paying people to not only find these servers, but the legal work involved to shut them down would be a major undertaking, even for Blizz.

Those servers are one of the largest ones. To be honest; I don't think they posted it anywhere, but I have heard this for a very long time from users at emupedia, ascentemu, and here.

Private server's can't be stopped, even if blizzard did take action against every one, There are too many of them, it's like trying to stop the pirating of music

I think I remember hearing this because way back they'd hack my favorite wowemu server and I'd try to keep up to date with their stuff, but I was in the process of taking a long vacation from the private server scene.
