Most thing people look for when they want to play in a server is:


1. Staff
-People want a staff that helps the second a ticket is put in and fixed not ignored.
-Ventirlo with a channel with a gm in it for support is a big plus

2. Lag
-people look for a server with the lowest lag possible to enjoy playing and not playing a slideshow

3. Ventrilo
-Once you get your donations going or how ever you pay for server you might want to invest into a ventrilo server, players like to talk to gms and player as the pwn them

4. Type of server and originality
One would someone play a server that is just like others? IF you use a repack take things our add things MIX IT UP! make your server stand out. A funserver with player given everything is fun for a week then boring. I recommand giving so much like s1 and s2 t5 and under and make t6 and t7 where they must work for it.

5.How its ran
Is the server owner using donation money for him or server? spammer? If you have a ton of server spamming daily limite a players message in your ascent to limite spam as well as in ventrilo limit IPs; People can come in as 50 people and shut down your server......idk why no life i guess?

6. EVENTS
Make a unique PVP or reward system not need a gms help or being run by a gm . Norwegian event token system or WoW cavalier is the most inique system iv seen. WoW cavalier has a question even now and then and players who answer right get a point(s) and buy special items with it. Players dont like to get an item and have to wait for a gm to exchange it for the item they want.

7. Make player feel wanted
Make each player feel like they are taken care of as a real blizzard employee would. if they are rude and cursing just calm them down and assist them.
