Hey, well ive seen loads and loads of people asking how many people can their server hold etc. Well im making this thread to sum it up, if there are any errors feel free to PM or comment me to adjust

Note: hosting a site using wamp etc may affect this. Also this is an estimate, if u have realy bad comp specs but good internet it will be different for you.

Processor: 1.5ghz (AMD or INTEL)
Ram: 512mb
Hard Drive: 10gb(dosnt matter really)
Internet peed: 500kbs up 400 bs down

Standard computer spec for say 200 - 300 players

Processor: 2.4ghz (AMD or INTEL)
Ram: 1.5gb
Hard Drive: 50gb (dosnt matter really)

Good computer specs for say 400 - 500 players
Processor: 2ghz dual core (AMD or INTEL)
Ram: 2.5gb ram

holy shit , it says my upload speed is 2865 kb/s !!! and download 3034 kb/s , so if i had more ram (i have 1GB) and if i could host the server 24/7 , i could make an awesome server . but sadly , i cant keep it 24/7 +rep tho

with ascent that would be possible... other emulators would probably lagg... that is the unique thing about ascent...it can host big number of players without lagg

hmm, strange....
when i runned server myself,
i had following:
* amd dualcore 4400+ cpu
* 2 GB ram
* 500GB hdd
* 512 MB Graphichs Ram
* 16,5 Mbit down
* 1,1 Mbit up

and even with this, my server
started lagg as hell with 60+ online. (ascent)
but i should be able to have alot more,
if 2dgreengiant,s list is correct

well, after i shutted down my own and
merged with epicwow, we can have 4000+ online =)
but thats dedicated servers hehe.

that is really weird, thats a really good pc spec mabey do u have loats and lots of custom stuff? and do u play wow on the pc you host on?
