VPS Host

Hello All,

I have had my private server for 2 weeks now and we have went quite far in a short time. Now im looking for an online host and have found a decently priced one for my small population.

Currently I need help on knowing exactly what I need to host this on a VPS....

Things I need to kno:

1. How much Bandwidth/M would I need?
2. Would I need a hosted SQL?
3. Plesk???
4. And What kind of domain?

Also when I buy the host and remote deskstop it, would I just install the server normally and go to my dns and put in the new IP?

I want to buy a VPS from VPSLAND.com :: Advanced VPS Hosting
and get the 70$/m one, 2gig ram and 1000gb bandwidth..

My question would that be enough to hold 50 people lagg free? if not how many?

1. 250gb would be enough for 50 people a month (I think :S).
2. Yes, you would need to be able to host DB...
3. If you want too.. (VNC for windows, Plesk for Unix/Linux or Webmin)
4. Any domain... (Aslong as it points to the WoW server...)

You can, but you have to set it all up and it will eat bandwidth for you and the server and it will cause loading lag and your pc has to be on all the time!
If I were you, I would just install mysql (free and supported by EMUs) on the server...

Kk, so basically just install the repacks mysql DB on the Host instead of buying theres? theres is 10/20$ a month for 1gig/2gig

I dont need to buy that right?

Yes, just install MySQL (Lite and free!) on the server...
Anyway, Emus dont support MS SQL!
