ascent upgrade trouble

ascent core i am havetrouble with my friends ascent core with the install 7.4 it starts out wit ascent core 2801 and i am trying to upgrade it to 2815 but keeps reverting to 2801 please any help thanks

How do you mean 'upgrade' it? Just remove the files from the server folder and replace with the 2815 files.

Ascent cant revert or upgrade itself, it can only be executed, and whatever version is executed can only be the version that you click on.

yes i know this steph but i even gave him your files from your compile and its still 2801 does anyone have any advice i told him to just del the ascent folder and put the new one in but still no progress

Hmm, ok - if you gave him my 2815, when you boot it up it might just still say 2.8 stable when you log on, but that's because the revision headers arent changed with every single compile, they are changed every 50-60 revisions or so.

What Im trying to say is that even though you might be booting up a revision between 2800 and 2850 - it will still say on logon that its 2801.

um ok steph how do i get it to work with norwegians repack because my revison is 2815 please help because it only works on that revision

ok does anyone else have a solution because i have tryed everything from erasing the hole ascent folders and the server side reinstall it and try to put a new core and still 2801 if anyone knows how to fix this please help thanks and steph i understand just don't forgets about me ok

This is 2815 - I know because I compiled it yesterday.

It's LUA, item, and flying patched.

Its tested and working and DEFINATELY 2815. If your friend cant get this working, then the problem is something else.

Also, Ive had Knaur's repack working on everything up to the mid-2900 releases, so it's not only limited to that core.

Also, I had knaur's running on 2.3.2 ascent core 3332 last night, all you need to do is add the updates from the SVN to the pack and it works fine.
