I just got back into mangos last week and made a repack but not ready and wanna post this one

This is the first MaNGOS repack from AC-Web. We hope all you MaNGOS users out there enjoy this release, and please tell us if you have any problems, so we can fix them. MaNGOS uses a differant map extractor to Ascent, so you can't use your Ascent maps with it. If you are already using an AC Web Ascent repack and you want to try the MaNGOS repack, just rename your Ascent repack it and install the MaNGOS repack.

MaNGOS actually has a lot less bugs IMO, it has improved a lot.
The reason most people don't use it is because it isn't built to be public + it is illegal to host it public

So they can't get in trouble.

Ascent could be sued or something, but MaNGOS couldn't. They even (kind of) designed their own client (which sucks ) and they can easily switch which game to emulate.

Crappy part about that is less support about client issues since they don't call themselves an emulator

thank you. i understand everyone here deosnt like mangos but i played on it all my WoW life and got used to all the gm commands. so im gona stay with it. isnt reaper-x mangos better tho?

Please, this is a really old topic Although thanks pples i guess. This is 2.3 but if you download latest core this database will work.
