Private Server - realmlist problem HELP!!! Please

I was playing on retail today, and wanted to go have a little fun on a private server, So I changed my realmlist like usual to my favorite private server. I tried to connect on an account and I kept getting pw's wrong, finally I tried my retail account and it worked...it was still on retail wow with a different realmlist. Did Blizz fix it or something? help

Delete set patchlist part if it is still there, otherwise, i don't know :|

Happened to me before, I deleted my patch.mpq, did repair.exe, and it fixed

I've never found deleting the patchlist to fix anything, i always leave it up so i never have to re-enter it to get the latest patches for WoW

make sure you're hitting save...as dumb as it may sound..just make sure

As said above use the repair feature found in your WoW folder, make sure you dont replace or delete any mods when you run it and it should repair and replace all missing or broken files in your WoW folder

If it continues to occur delete the entire realmlist, run the repair and try again..

yea you could rename realmlist.wtf to realmlist.wtf2 and make a new realmlist.wtf in notepad for a private server
also verry important thing is that you start wow with wow.exe and NOT with launcher.exe

Why wow.exe and not launcher.exe? With every private server I play on, I use launcher and it doesn't hurt a thing >.<
