The difference to anyone who connects to your server, is nothing.

Mangos and Antrix were the biggest and best two server emulators around. Think of them like Windows and Linux as operating systems for your computer. Both do basically the same thing, just different systems.

The Antrix team changed their name to Ascent, basically the two are the same thing, but Antrix is an earlier set of releases.

If you host your own Apache/mysql server you can host your own site, but I dont think many webhosts will let you run a WoW server, you would need to contact your provider.

Mangos: Every spell works, only bug I know of is if you don't use vMap
Antrix: WAY outdated, nobody uses it
Ascent: Holds many players, but VERY buggy.
Kobold: Performs very nicely Very complicated and CLOSED SOURCE
    Others: Not worth mentioning
