wowemu was imba ... it is/was the most downloaded and used emu ever...
It was noobfriendly? with the textfiles....
It was hell easy to create custom stuff also...

some people (me too!) still enjoy wowemu when they are bored sometimes

WoWEmu was a great Emulator. People can modify it an play easy with it.. but now Mangos and Ascent are much better..

But who know? Maybe, some people will continue WoWEmu in a later time...

When I was on the emu servers Mangose was out but it was to hard for me so I continued playing that till I learned how to make a mangose.
Emus almost never crashed they were just so incomplete the spawn points were little kids lol. And you could always see the spirit healer dead or alive.
Also the worst thing was that gear never really did anything in stats. Other then that,yeah its good. :P

What made WoW Emu successful was the freedom to customize almost limitless.

You could set you level cap to 254 without any stability problems, funservers were a new experience for everyone, and AFG kept putting out amazing repacks for them.

It was extremely easy to script new stuff and customize your server.
