MANgos on vista?

can MANgos work on vista if so some one tell me how, give links or just a link to a guide for it ty i rly wanna play WoWCrazzee again (name of my server) tyty

Ive made a couple mangos servers on vista with no problems

Find a pack you want/like and follow the instructions. Setting up the server is the same on vista as it is on XP. Only difference might be what u use to open the file i.e. Winrar etc..Ive heard vista's stock unzipper/opener is sorta crappy. Ive never had problems with it.

so lemma get this straight, once i unzip the repack everything i need will be in it?

Yes, if not, then a good pack will at least have links to the stuff you need like hamachi. Really depends on which pack you get and the authors Preferences. So try Mangos and if you find that you don't like the set up then start over and use Antrix or something. Most of the guides are well written so if you follow them to a "T", you shouldn't have any problems

and if you do... don't flood the forums with "it doesn't work" or "I'm stuck at hooking". Just try a different approach. One nice post with your problem will get you more help and less flame

ok i have another question i did the thing where you just download dj execute's MAngos then you go to the website change the ip and change the ip in the WoW folder but that was on my alienware and now the only thing i can do with the 3 torrents is read gibberish off them in notepad HELLLLLLLLLLPpPPPPppppPpP!!!!

I'm afraid i haven't used DJ Executes version enough to troubleshoot any installation problems. Pretty sure if you post that up in one of the stickys it can be answered better. Or if one of the experts pop down here and look. Just make sure you read the instructions word for word and you understand everything before you get download happy.

Or browse through some post and see if someone else has had this problem. You can't search so thats about the only help I can give ya

just remember to disable account control if your not the admin on vista if your planing on accessing and workingon the DB files at all.

I looked through some Mangos and Dj execute post and found nothing similar to this problem. If all else fails find another Mangos and try it. I prefer Ascent, they seem put together a little better than Mangos but thats my opinion...good luck

can someone do teamspeak or vent with me to walk me thru? i rly wanna get my server up and running ... (if only i didnt kick my alienware so much i could still prolly have it ) HEY if i take the harddrive outta my alienware and put it in my vista laptop would it have the memory from when it was in the first comp???
