Nostalrius gives Valkyrie guys their source code.
Just a moment...
So Elysium is the new nost but whethe ror not they are gonna market themselevs as such is still unknown. I do hope they understand the power of the Nostalrius name (The brand. Possibly make a new server something like "Nostalrius Returns" Or along those lines. What confuses me is that they also plan to release the source code to the public down the line as well which is absolutely retarded because it divides the Vanilla community. So as of right now https://valkyrie-wow.org/ this is the new nost.
Thoughts on this guys?

also they'll use the same host like before the shutdown, which is located in France... seems oddly retarded to me, but who cares...

That's great news for emulation. No more dealing with stock mangos. It's going to move things light years ahead.

Now I'm not a lawyer, but Blizzard has to defend their copyright to keep it valid right? and letting people host this is violation of their copyright, and whether you agree with that or not, Blizzard sees it as a copyright infringement and now even if their server is hosted remotely, someone will have to answer. Not only that, but Russia does give a **** about copyright too, I mean they blocked TPB in the past. Obviously private servers are different, but with enough fuss from Blizzard, they will get what they want.
However, Dodgykebab makes a good point on his videos. Blizzard will be lenient to sue anyone, if they sue this project and find they make $0.00 off this project, and it fails in court, they will open the flood gates to private servers and it's completely free rein. This is a whole new ball park though, they have successful sued in the past but that was with projects that were making mad $$. This is a zero profit project and have a dying legit game with an angry fan base, hard to say what they will do.
Personally, I see them getting shut down, the only way around this would host it 100% anonymously and keep switching servers each time you get sued. Very illegal, but that's what I see it would take.
