Okay, I recently got a guildie from the live servers onto my private one.

He crashed the game, and the error window poped up. He accidently clicked to send it to Blizz.

Then later, he was on his druid, spamming shred/mangle, and a message poped up saying that he had found a exploit, and to tell a gm how to recreate it, or be banned.

Two questions.

1) Does blizzard have any connection to the server whatsoever,

2) When he sent the error file, can blizzard track his acocunt on the live server, and private server?

Negatory. This error message is caused by unreal amounts of damage. They can't track it.

Im guessing after blizzard questions your friend, im sure he'll tell them he was on a private server......blizzard will send you an email saying "Shut the server down or have legal action taken against you."

They'll pull him into a dark alley when he's walking down the streets and beat him until he reveals your server, then they see to it you have a little "Accident" while on a fishing trip involving fluffy and cuddly teddy bears and a cinder block.

Nah, you're pretty safe, I wouldn't worry, the error report just tells them 'OH NOEZ IT CRASHED' but doesn't do much, considering I've sent every error report I got on Private Servers and my Live Account has never been banned.

well, if you have your relmslist.wtf file changed to a diff server then most error messages go to that server.

Did the exploit thing come up when he was on your server or blizzards? if it was on blizz servers then it might be something not worry bout, if not then dont worry.

Blizzard can easy track it down to your main account, but I wouldn't be so afraid.

But, what I'm saying has been said before, just wanted to confirm it.
Blizzard wouldn't use so much time on it anyways...

Something like that once happened to me :[ but all i did was make a peanut butter sandwich and insulted chuck norris in barrens chat...its probly related to PB&J sandwhich...OR IS IT!?!?!

P.S. - Im sure you'll be just fine, its probably like tickets on emus, they can be sent but a GM on live wont get it, but you will (if you have the right add-on to open tickets with) so just chill d00d. =p
