How do you make custom spells?

u make them in ur database i would imagine in the spells table, but unfortunately my knowledge of mangos is nonexistant, hell most would state my knowledge of ascent is nonexistant too, and that i just make lucky guesses.

First, you need to do client side editing, in the DBC files, then you need to do it in the DB of the server, and maybe, if the spell got some special function, in the core of the server.

The creation of spells is extremely difficult, it usually includes developing, someone you could look towards for pro developing, is someone probly like gastricpenguin...cawz hes l337 in that fozhizzle stuff. Otherwise unless you can understand binary and such i dont think you can do much.

i think he means that you edit the DBC files, but that wouldnt be client side :S

Client side is you, and your WoW.
Server side is the server, that in this example, host the WoW server.

For the DBC editing, you should try on the old AFG warriorz website,
Afghan Warriorz Official Forum or something, just google em.
