    Password Registration Encryption

I can easily encrypt passwords when people register on my website with md5, but then people can't login to the Wow server. Does anybody know of any configuration for Antrix or Ascent servers to read encrypted passwords from the mysql database? Does the game WoW hash your password when you enter it into the main login screen? I just feel that its not very secure.
