cannot connect

I have a little problem im switching from Antrix to Mangos cause i find it better for me but it says Cannot connect to MySql when i click test connection same with when i run mangos, any ideas i cant give much in return but rep.. thanks

Uninstall mysql then go to C:\program files\mysql and delete the folder named data.. then reinstall
