Classic WOW Server,

Does anyone know of a good classic wow server that *doesnt* give you instant 60? I was looking to relive the early days of wow, but all the classic servers are little epic shopping malls, and when I want that, I play live wow.
If anyone could help me out it'd be appreciated.

I would recommend keeping an eye on Forsaken Gaming and TrueWoW
Both of them endeavor to be truly "blizzlike" with 1x rates. Because of population issues
there is talk of TrueWoW merging into Forsaken Gaming. The staff from the former has
already started working for the latter, trying to get their game core into shape.

As it is right now TrueWoWs game engine is vastly superior to Forsaken Gaming, so I recommend
you start out by playing there. Appearantly you will be able to transfer your character over to
Forsaken Gaming once they've fixed its new core and the announced merge will take place.

Some people express doubts wether the union between those two servers will actually deliver
what they have promised, but personally I think this is the best place on the web to look for a
genuine Vanilla experience.

I've noticed that you like Classic World of Warcraft and would like to show you something new. A new project called Ancient Azeroth.

It is still in BETA testing to give you, the players, a realm with minor amount of bugs when it is released to the public. Raids will be released in the same order as they were on retail, ofcourse scripted and tested! Instances as Upper BlackRock Spire and Dire Maul are already done and being tested before the unleash.

Ancient Azeroth is just like in the old days. Rates as it were during Classic, the old Honor system with Ranks and raids that required 40 people to conquer the bosses.

The release date is still being discussed but it is not to far away. This is mostly becuase we are aiming for a large community so that the release of the realm will be the same as when it was released in stores! Hundreds of players fighting their way up to maximum level.

Now YOU have the opportunity to relive the experience of Classic World of Warcraft as it should be.
