Well as i was checking out the other day, DynDNS.com removed their 'Wildcards' function for free members. In most cases, you need a webhost with wildcards in order for the websites to work on other computers. Heres a few things i found out and an alternative site to dyndns.com and no-ip.com
I found upon messaging dyndns about the problem and how i needed the wildcards for my website to function properly i recieved a message 3 days later stating that they cannot change wildcards back and they suggested adding a paid hostname to get my site to work. NO WAY
So i searched around for 2 days looking for a new dns service that has wildcards. Luckily i found one at Enhanced Dynamic DNS Solutions When you sign up and create your dynamic host the wildcards are built right in to the host name. Create the host , Verify your account, wait a few minutes (1-5 minutes) and your done!
So if your having troubles with a server not showing up on other peoples computers with your no-ip or dyndns or even another DNS service try going to changeip.com and set it up.
Note: This is an alternative for people who's router or home computer requires wildcards for dns hosting (usually linksys or belkin routers require that)
