[Help/Question] | Non - "Noob" Please..

I own my own server and I was wondering if there was any programs that have been already made to "install" the map files just via anywhere.

I could use ad.exe to get all the files off this computer to get all the map files then archive them and upload them on some site, but that would take atleast 20 hours. Is there anyone that has already done that?

Hopefully yall understand what im saying. Obviously you cant move files through RDP or "Remote Desktop"

I thought about that but I would have to be installing the trial
For the trial I would only be able to install the normall WoW not burning crusade
Would that make a difference?

Ive seen the full wow client for download somewhere just never really paid attention to it cause I have a few copies of my own, try searching the forums.

Just download the maps from somewhere... should only take a few minutes. Just randomly grab someone's repack that has map files, download it, and leech the map files from it if you can't use ad.exe.
Although, again ,using ad.exe is the way to go... but I can see you can't do that in this scenario.

Well Ive thought of that and tryed.
Could'nt find anything in either repacks/a single file

Now my server is stuck at handshaking and is pissing me off which is obviously a common error ive seen before... Been hosting for a while

I doubt this is causing that. Or is it O_O?

Found something that someone posted on another site, but they dont seem to confident.. Their post is 2.4 [Sort Of] Map files...

Or something everyones to lazy to answer lol

I remember being stuck on handshaking when the versions didn't match: 2.3 core with 2.4 client and vice versa

I find that the Handshaking 'issue' happens to me, sort of what Spidey says, if I have too much of an outdated core. If I was using a core meant for 2.4.0 (the first variety, mind you.) and my client is the latest patched, i would get this issue. (The new 2.4 cores support all 2.4 though, but the first little bunch of 2.4 cores had this issue.. alot.)

Ergo, probable solution: Get the latest rev of your favorite flavor and compile it

erm maps are illegal to share am i right and if they take about 20 hours to extract on your computer i feel really sorry for you and you shouldn't be running a server on there lol
