Help with server, im nub kthxbai

ok so i just got the initial server set up, but now im at a loss for what to do..do i set up MySQL now or my navicat, ORRRR my ADE? and if someone could, link me an faq on the order and how to do it, thanks.+Rep for all, DO IT.

You set up navicat and/or heidisql and begin your endless DB editing

and what about MySQL? because last time i set MySQL up and then tried to get into my db, after that i couldnt get into my server or mysql.. i just dont want to fk it up again because i had to redo everything, lol.

If you set the server up, im guessing you have it running. Just have it running, and you can use navicat to edit it.

so what the hell is MySQL for lol, i hate not knowing about a subject, i do apologize for the constant questions

MYSQL is what runs your database. navicat/sqlyog/heidisql are used to edit your database

hm, alright, so would i want to set the MySQL up first and then mess with navicat?

its not running atm, but i could start it up whenever

if you can start it up "Whenever" then mysql is already running
