Instantly Disconnected from Friends' Server?

Hey - I just walked my friend through vent how to create a server on his computer because my computer's a nugget and he's not too computer savvy so you can imagine it was difficult... especially with port forwarding... but after we were all done when we try to connect to his server we get instantly disconnected. Anyone have any idea what the problem is?

instantly dced? that sounds to me like a database bug... hmm what are you using a repack if so wich one and what core are you using arcemu?mangos?ascent? etc
