Multiplying Character's

On my server many people have reported there character's have been multiplied up to 10 times, witch doesn't let them make another character! And after they try to delete one, it deletes all of them :S. Also, people's character's that have been multiplied no longer show in the character table in my database, but when I restart the server there character's are still there. (So they gotta be in the database somewhere.)

- This problem happened after switching to ascent rev 4628, from ascent rev 4727.


Anyone know what's going on here?

you myt have to get a clean logon db, usually fix's these kind of errors

I highly suggest clearing everything, maybe offering some character recompensation, or something.

yeh its the first ive heard of it aswell, but if its anything i would say logon db in my opinion anyway i myt be wrong

nonono we had thsi problem too and fixed it... give me some time, i'll get in touch with our devs and ask how we fixed it

that is why i told him not to take any actions yet !!
We fixed it on our server without any problems, so i'll talk to the developers and ask how we fixed it

don't ask me how i ever came to that xD i really don't know

ontopic: i have send PM to the server admin, waiting for reply

edit: ok one developers said that the bug was due to guildnames... there were 2 guilds with the same name and that caused the problem... so there was a guild duplicated... so i sugges you check that first in meanwhile i am waiting for answer from the admin too
