it can be done but would require a custom patch that all your user's would have to download
it will require you have all your users download a client patch which no one would like
Lunar Gaming - Reaching For The Stars
Well it wouldn't be that big of a patch plus you can set the patch in a certain folder that makes them download it as soon as they log in so they have no choice.
Yeah, client-side editing would be the only way to accomplish this. AKA, its 'VIRTUALLY' impossible. Unless you wanna have a 0 player server.
O.O Damnit >< O well thanks for the response guys!
Think about it this way.
Let's say you have a 2MB song at a lousy quality of 96kbps - awful quality if you ask me.
That's 96kbit per second per player, in addition to the bandwidth the server already uses. 500 players are 96*500=48000kbps, which are 48Mbit per second for this lousy quality song. 2MB sent to 500 players are 1GB of data - again, just for this super-low quality short-length song.
Don't forget that players expect WoW, not Wave FM; Some of them might listen to their own songs; others might turn off audio. From your point of perspective, that's wasted bandwidth.
In all, streaming live audio to wow players doesn't seem like a good idea.
If you still insist on doing this, get a good server and shoutcast, and embed a player in their launcher.
Or just broadcast your own music live using winamp broadcaster .. and announce a few times every hour about a link on your website which they can launch your broadcast from :P
I've seen a few servers doing that, having there own djs playing retarded music 24/7
but again waste of bandwidth , but this is a much easier solution.

..Which is exactly what I suggested in the last sentence :P
Didn't see, well not exactly the same pfft :P
why not just put your music on media fire and let people download it and then while they play they can use windows media player to listen to it if they want.
