    WhyDB problem

    I have been using the latest ADB and now i thought that i could try some other db so i got the WhyDB:s svn link and got the files + edited the Tool.bat file but when i try to install the db i got this :

    ERROR 1045 (28000) : Access denied for user 'ODBC'@'localhost' (using password : NO)

    So whats wrong?

    You have to edit it to you're DB login and password, if you allready did that you did it wrong. Either you put it in the right place, but used the wrong login and user or you you put it in the wrong location. Hope it helps.

    The only lines that i have edited in the Tool.bat are these :

    set /p user= Database login: ****
    set /p pass= Password: **********

    SET world_db=world -> this was ascent_world
    SET char_db=character -> this was ascent_char

    What else i have to do/edit?

    I have used those login/password always.

    I had this problem a while ago too, i coulnt access anything, not my Navicat or MySQL, nuttin. This all started after an unexpected reboot of my comptuer, if you are SURE your apsswords are correct i suggest you go to the mysql server instance config unility under MySQL and remove it, once its removed reinstall the server and make sure you put your root passwords all the same, all my passwords are the same for these reasons. if that doesnt work then triple check your conf files.

    If you have to reinstall MySQL be sure to take backups first xD
