Can you get banned if...?

I got a question! Can you get banned on WoW for having your private server up (All your MYSQL, ascent-logonserver, and ascent world, and hamachi) while your playing on public servers? I was just wondering if I could have my private server running for others but me be able to play on public servers at the same time without me being banned. Is this safe or not?

If they take action on youre private sever. They can do anything. Even put you in jail if youre in the right contry.

The way you can get banned is, if your WOW directory has files in your WDB and WTF folder that have references to your private server, they can detect this and ban you.
They've done it to other people.

So if you want to play on a private server and then also play on Offi, either clean your WDB folder and WTF folder, or copy your WOW directory and clean the WDB and WTF in ONE directory and use ONLY that copy to play on Offi.

I always play retail WoW with Ascent-world,Ascent-logon and hamachi on and never got a warning or a BAN for it. Private servers arn't a big threat to Blizzard.

The Warden CANNOT detect your wow private sevrer running. Its for hacks / exploits. Plus your not running your server through your wow client. So no it wont hurt you ive done it many of times.

Scyther, get your facts right, Warden can detect pretty much everything, though it doesn't "react badly" to everything.

I'm having a hard time believing that, when you can pretty much run your server, and play, and they would ban you for your logs of where you have been? Yeah right, mind to find a link or screenshot?

What if I went into my WTF folders and changed a few lines of the server I've been on, to "OLOL PRIVATE SERVER OH MAH GAWD", would I get banned when I logged in? No, I wouldn't. (Because I haven't when I actually have been on private servers before).
