[help] Odd Issue. I'm lost

I was trying to help someone set up their server, and finally got it to let others log on.....hes hosting it on one computer, but his other computer on the same network can't connect.

Whats the deal?

He needs to edit the local network pc's Hosts file to bind his external ip to the server's internal ip.
