Guide:
- unpack the dbc´s , copy the Creed file in "pc-hdfiles/creed.dll" to your wow main directory

-copy the Common-2.mpq to your wow main directory/data

-start WoW-3.0.1.8303-to-3.0.1.8334-deDE-patch.exe

//edit: i think this will just work with the "german" version of wow since the patch is for the german client

Welcome to the World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Friends and Family Alpha. The list below contains information on the current available content for testing and general information. This information is subject to change.
General
The continent of Northrend is now available! To travel there, visit one of four transportation masters in either Orgrimmar, Undercity, Theramore,or Menethil Harbor.
Transportation between Howling Fjord and Borean Tundra can be found at the Tuskarr villages in those zones.
NPC Transportation Locations
Horde:
Undercity to Vengeance Landing (Howling Fjord)
Orgrimmar to Warsong Hold (Borean Tundra)
Alliance:
Menethil Harbor to Valgarde (Holwing Fjord)
Theramore Valiance Keep (Borean Tundra)
World Environment Zones
The following zones are available for testing: Howling Fjord, Borean Tundra, Dragonblight, and Grizzly Hills
Dungeons
The following dungeons are available for testing:
Howling Fjord: Utgarde Keep (70-72)
Howling Fjord: Utgarde Pinnacle (80)
Borean Tundra: The Nexus (70-72)
Grizzly Hills: Drak’Tharon Keep (74-76)
Classes
All Classes are available for play. Spells and talents will be available for testing past 70 for the following classes: Druid, Mage, Priest, Shaman, Warlock, Warrior
The Death Knight Hero class is now available for play.
Creating a new Death Knight will start you at level 55 in Eastern Plaguelands.
No starting quests are implemented though Death Knight abilities will be available for testing.
Several Death Knight talents, although they will appear on the talent pane, are not yet implemented.
Professions
The following tradeskills are available to train up to 450: First Aid, Herbalism, Mining, and Skinning.

Note: i cant help you with that since i dont tested it. The client is viruschecked - but you can check it yourself.

yes thats real - you can even connect to the wotlk-blizzard realm. with the right realmlist ( set realmlist beta.eu.logon.worldofwarcraft.com )

Blizzard has one WotLK Alpha realm online. It's called "Lich King" and can only be accessed by changing your realmlist.

The problem is you can create characters on that realm without any problems. But you can't login with them, as the client crashes while loading.

We have done a few things to get more informations and we got this:

* The internal Alpha ended at Build 8292
* The F&F Alpha started at Build 8303
* It was patched to Build 8334
* We can be 90% sure that the Full Client is out there
* We've done several ways of bruteforcing their servers to get the link ... unsuccessfull

The 2.4.2 client which is actually the live retail one has build number 8278. We found a patch(3) in the PatchSequence file which is patching from the 2.4.0 WoW-TRIAL client to Build 8301. We tried to get into the Lich King realm with that, but it's not possible as we would need a test account for that.
But the accounts have already been copied over to the test realm, so newly created testaccounts will NOT be able to log in

There is a rumor going around that Blizzard put this up as a new way to go after private servers and that the client contains a call back to blizzard so they can track any server using it.

If you think about it, think how locked down TBC was, you had to log in to download it and then install your beta key to launch the installer. This is just sitting on their site under no protection at all.
