Im thinking about getting a new computer and I am looking at a few different types and i was just wondering if you can run Ascent on a computer with 64-bit cores. Or does it only work with x86?
Thanks in advance for all the help.

But yeah, we all know the ArcEmu team is pretty much a farce... unfortunately, it's a farce with a gazillion users. - Hellgawd

Should, mine does
PS: Really consider *not* getting a vista, unless you want to explode it/burn it/destroy it

For best performances, I think you should choose Linux. But; DLLs may not work. Otherwise you should aim towards Windows Server Edition 2003.
You can also use Vista or XP. If you're using XP, don't forget to scale down the visual effects -> Better preformance.

Don't use vista x64 on less than 4GB ram :P
After a few days of uptime it'll leak past the point where a few programs open = 2GB ram idle (at least it does for me).. apart from that its fine
and ascent runs on x64 native
i use x84 and i have like 6 gigs of ram and running vista right now im on my labtop though
